Differences between Chinese and American cultural values

In this presentation, Dr. Brender will argue that cultural identities consist of a set of values; that is, the degree to which such institutions as family, education, friendship, work roles, and gender roles are esteemed and how they are generally regarded within a given culture. By analyzing differences between these Chinese and American institutions, Dr. Brender will present a basic understanding of what it means to identify as Chinese or to identify as American.

Many cultures or countries have certain favorite colors. So does China, a few colors represent different meanings throughout the dynasties and history, or they are symbolic in life custom. The presenter will introduce and explain the top three popular lucky colors in China. In addition, to explain other colors of significance. The presenter will also talk about the unlucky colors. What color is appropriate for certain ceremonies or events, such as weddings and funerals. In the end, learners will be able to know about their lucky Chinese zodiac colors.
