2022 Chinese Zodiac Animal Art Contest

The 2022 Chinese Zodiac Animal Art Contest is sponsored by the Great Lakes Chinese Consortium. All K-12 and university students are eligible who live within a 50 mile radius of one of the following institutions: Cleveland State University, Michigan State University, St. Cloud State University, Wayne State University, University at Buffalo, University of Toledo, or Western Michigan University. Students residing within the East Central Ohio School District are also eligible.


This year, students are asked to fill out an online registration form and attach a digital picture of a poster, depicting this year's Chinese zodiac animal, the TIGER. At least four Chinese characters must be included in the picture, announcing the Chinese New Year.


Entries must be submitted no later than Monday, January 31 at 5 PM.


Divisions by grade include K-2, Grades 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. One submission will be allowed per candidate. ONLY posters will be judged this year; there will NOT be a 3-D or T-shirt category. Trophies and certificates will be awarded by mail.
